DemoShell hosts browser-run demos of software. This page explains what data we handle, in plain words.

What we store

If you create an account: your email address, an encrypted form of your password (or your GitHub/Google identity if you sign in that way), and the demo snapshots, projects and settings you create. If you sign in with GitHub we also store the access token GitHub issues, which we use only to check whether you can push to a repository whose demo you claim. If you use the contact form: what you typed in it, which is sent to us as an email.

Payments

Paid plans are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan status and when the current period ends; your name, billing address and VAT ID live with Stripe under their privacy policy. We send Stripe your account email so your receipts reach you.

Claiming a demo

If you claim one of the demos in our gallery, we store what you submitted: which demo, your account email, the result of the automatic check (your email domain or your GitHub access), and anything you typed to explain the claim. We keep approved and denied claims as the record of who was granted what.

What happens inside a demo

Demos run entirely in the visitor's browser. What a visitor types into a demo stays on their machine and is gone when the tab closes. We do not receive files a visitor loads into a demo.

What we don't do

We don't sell data, we don't run third-party advertising trackers, and we don't send you marketing email you didn't ask for.

Cookies

The admin area uses one session cookie to keep you signed in. The marketing site stores only your light/dark theme choice in your browser.

Removal

Email konstantin@goncharuk.info to have your account and its data deleted.
