Terms of service
Last updated: July 2026.
The service
DemoShell lets you build and host demo snapshots of software that run in a visitor's browser. You keep all rights to your software; we host only the demo snapshots you publish and serve them to the pages you share or embed them on.
Your responsibilities
Only publish software you have the right to distribute. Don't use demos to distribute malware or illegal content. Unlimited sessions are subject to fair use — we may throttle abusive traffic to keep the service working for everyone.
Free plans
Free plans are provided as-is and may have limits changed over time. We will not delete your data without notice.
Paid plans
Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew until you cancel. Cancel any time from the billing page in your dashboard: the plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then returns to free. Your demos and settings stay; the DemoShell badge comes back on your embeds. If a payment fails we do not switch anything off while Stripe retries the card.
Gallery demos and removal requests
We build and host demos of third-party software in our gallery. Those demos are not affiliated with the projects they demonstrate unless the page says otherwise. Every gallery page carries a link for the software's maintainers to ask us to change or remove its demo; we act on removal requests the same day. Maintainers can also claim their demo and take it over — we review every claim by hand.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is", without warranty. We work to keep demos available and current, but we are not liable for lost profits or damages arising from downtime or errors, to the extent the law allows.
